Shanghai Corporate pavilion – LED facade

The inner shell of the pavilion was encased in a grid of LED poles, creating a complex 3D screen. Creating animations that could play across 127 layers really challenged both our technical and our design skills. We created a simulator that helped us work out what would look good on this crazy surface, but it was only once our animators were on-site that they could really fine-tune the designs to work on the LED poles in the actual environment.
