Cisco Pavilion – Shanghai World Expo 2010
June 18, 2010 No CommentsIn the chill of winter in Shanghai (January 2010), Spinifex oversaw the live action shoot for the Cisco Pavilion film, in which we worked with long time Chinese production company collaborators Imagimotion.
With a large Chinese cast and a crew of 35, led by renowned director Yang Qingsheng, we shot on the Red camera, in locations which included the international Pudong Airport, private residences, an empty office block that became in post-production a vision of a futuristic city control centre, and the freezing streets and highways of Shanghai.
Language barriers were broken down as we communicated through the common language of film. The efficiency of the way the Chinese team worked was extraordinary and the resulting film is a rich visual creation.
